An April 27 Physics World story looked at new efforts to detect neutrinoless double-beta decay and quoted Alan Poon, the project’s group leader.

An April 27 Irish Times story highlighted research co-led by the Lab and the Joint Center for Artificial Photosynthesis showing new findings that may lead to a solar fuel breakthrough. The story quoted The Molecular Foundry’s Jeff Neaton, a coauthor.

An April 26 IEEE Spectrum story featured work on a 2-D thin magnet, work led by Xiang Zhang. The International Business Times, AzoNano and Nanowerk were some of the other outlets covering his work based on a Lab news release.

An April 26 Construction Dive story featured work at FLEXLAB on improving energy efficiency in buildings and touched on an ongoing collaboration with Singapore. The story quoted Cindy Regnier.

An April 26 Technology Review story looked at the new cohort of researchers in the Lab’s Cyclotron Road tech incubator program and quoted Ilan Gur.

Cyclotron Road was also the subject of a CNN Money story looking at work by one its projects, Opus 12, and quoted Nicholas Flanders and Sebastien Lounis.

An April 25 Xinhua News story looked at a rare view of a supernova and quoted co-authors Peter Nugent and Danny Goldstein. The story was based on a Lab news release.

An April 25 Boston Globe story on understanding the role of trees in climate change quoted Trevor Keenan.

An April 24 San Jose Mercury News story on extreme weather and greenhouse gases quoted Dáithí Stone.

 An April 20 International Business Times story looked at a rare view of a supernova and quoted study co-author Peter Nugent. Based on a Lab news release, the Tech Times and Daily Mail also covered the finding.

An April 20 Discover magazine story looked at the discovery of giant viruses, work led by the Joint Genome Institute’s Frederik Schulz and which appeared in a JGI news release.
An April 19 Energy Live News story, based on a Lab news release, looked at a new collaboration between the Lab and Alphabet Energy on converting waste heat into power. The story quoted the Lab’s Vi Rapp.

An April 18 San Jose Mercury News story on sea level rise cited work by the Lab’s BISICLES project.

A recent New Scientist story on how people’s names are included into the periodic table touched on the origins of Lawrencium and Seaborgium.

An April 14 Xinhua News story looked at work led by Omar Yaghi on a solar-powered device to extract water from dry air. The research, based partially on a Lab news release, was widely covered including by the Indian Express, BoingBoing.net, NPR, the Washington Post, PVBuzz.com and many others.

An April 13 Live Science story on neutrino anomalies at the Daya Bay facility quoted Kam-Biu Luk. The findings were also covered by Science News and first appeared in a Lab news release.

An April 11 Chemistry World story looked at research on the element, berkelium, led by Rebecca Abergel and seen in a Lab news release.

An April 10 Xinhua News story looked at research on renewable energy options in Africa, a report led by Grace Wu, Ranjit Deshmukh and Duncan Callaway. CCTV also covered their findings based on a Lab news release.

An April 9 Newsweek story on quantum computing quoted Marcos Lopez de Prado and Jarrod McClean.

A separate story in Technology Review looked at the Lab’s Cori and Edison computers’ role in moving quantum computing forward.
