Berkeley Lab In the News, Week of Sept. 04, 2016

Berkeley Lab “In the News” is our weekly review of Lab researchers, staff, and students who have appeared in the news media this past week. This is but a sampling of our coverage. Please note that some links may expire after time.

A Sept. 9 Utility Dive story on the dropping cost of solar cited two recent Lab reports and quoted their authors, Galen Barbose and Mark Bolinger. Salon.com also cited the reports in a related story.

A Sept. 9 China Daily story highlighted a new China energy road map developed with the Lab’s input. RenewEconomy.com and ECNS China also covered the new report.

A Sept. 8 Sacramento Bee story noted the signing of a climate bill by Gov. Brown and quoted the Lab’s Jeff Greenblatt. Greenblatt’s research in this area was also noted in a Los Angeles Times story and featured as part of a KNBC-TV Los Angeles interview segment.

A Sept. 8 insideHPC story noted that the Lab would lead numerous new exascale computing projects. HPC Wire, The Register and NetworkWorld.com also covered the announcement following a Lab news release.

On Sept. 6 Berkeleyside.com ran a feature, based on a Lab story, on accelerator operator Reba Siero.

A Sept. 2 Richmond Confidential story looked at the suspension of plans for a second campus in Richmond.
