Berkeley Lab “In the News” is our weekly review of Lab researchers, staff, and students who have appeared in the news media this past week. This is but a sampling of our coverage. Please note that some links may expire after time.

An Aug. 3 New York Times story on climate change and the “rebound effect” quoted Alan Meier.

An Aug. 3 Bloomberg story on the impact of distributed energy on utility stock values cited a recent report led by Andrew Satchwell and Peter Cappers. also noted their report in a similar story.

An Aug. 1 SciCasts story featured research, based on a Lab news release, on a molecular switch discovered by Michal Hammel and Carolyn Larabell.

An Aug.1 Chemistry World story highlighted research into the dangers of e-cigarettes, work led by Hugo Destaillats and Lara Gundel. Chemical & Engineering News, several Spanish-language publications, and WPVI-TV also covered their work, which originally appeared in a Lab news release.

An Aug.1 story on California zip codes with the most solar panels was written by Ben Hoen and Joe Rand.
