Berkeley Lab In the News, Week of Dec. 07, 2014

Berkeley Lab “In the News” is our weekly review of Lab researchers, staff, and students who have appeared in the news media this past week. This is but a sampling of our coverage. Please note that some links may expire after time.

A Dec. 12 front-page Contra Costa Times story highlighted work by Tom Kirchstetter, who is looking at the change in diesel emissions in the Bay Area. The San Jose Mercury News and Oakland Tribune also ran the story.

A December Physics Today story featured the expansion of ESnet across the Atlantic and quoted Greg Bell.

A Dec. 12 Times of India story highlighted the audio restoration work of Carl Haber.

A Dec. 11 Economic Times story on pollution levels in India quoted Josh Apte, citing some of his recent research in the area.

A Dec. 9 UPI wire story covered new records set by BELLA, a table-top accelerator developed at the Lab, and quoted Wim Leemans and James Symons. Gizmag, Physics Today,, TechTimes, SciNews, Electronics Weekly, and many others also covered the effort.

A Dec. 8 Oakland North story looked at the evolution of the Berkeley Lab Darfur stove project.
