The Sept. 25 announcement of a MacArthur Prize given to the Lab’s Carl Haber received significant coverage. Stories prominently featuring Haber’s work appeared on NPR, National Geographic, The Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, KPIX-TV Channel 5, PBS, San Jose Mercury News, NBC News, the Associated Press, BBC News and many others.

A Sept. 24 Technology Review story on a cheaper grid battery quoted the Lab’s Venkat Srinivasan.

A Sept. 23 The Energy Collective story featured work at the Lab’s Advanced Light Source, Material Genome Project, and Molecular Foundry, and cited Roger Falcone, Ron Zuckerman, and Kristin Persson.

A Sept. 23 HPC Wire story looked at NERSC’s role in climate modeling.

A Sept. 22 Wall Street Journal story on myths associated with renewable energy cited recent lab research.

A Sept 21 Contra Costa Times story looked at the Lab’s current plans for the proposed Richmond Bay Campus. Richmond Confidential, the San Francisco Business Times, Daily Cal and San Francisco Chronicle also covered the story.

A Sept. 20 EE Times story featured work towards reliable quantum computing by the Lab’s Alexei Fedorov. HPC Wire also covered his work.

A Sept. 20 Chemistry World magazine story on a new imaging technique quoted lead researcher Michael Crommie.

A Sept. 19 New Yorker story highlighted the work at the Labs’ Joint Center for Artificial Photosynthesis and included Joel Ager, Rachel Segalman and Frances Houle.

A Sept. 19 Science News story highlighted cancer research by the Lab’s Mina Bissell.

A Sept. 6 KCBS-AM story looked at cool surface research at the Lab and quoted Ben Mandel.
