Berkeley Lab In the News, Week of May 12, 2013

Berkeley Lab “In the News” is our weekly review of Lab researchers, staff, and students who have appeared in the news media this past week. This is but a sampling of our coverage. Please note that some links may expire after time.

A May 17 Livingston, Michigan, Daily story covered a talk by the Lab’s Mina Bissell and her efforts to find the underpinnings of cancer.

A May 16 Washington story featured work on artificial photosynthesis led by the Lab’s Peidong Yang. ZeeNews, ANI, BBC, Gaia News, Italy, and other outlets also covered his research.

On May 15 HPC Wire included a Q&A with the Lab’s Horst Simon discussing the future for exascale computing. ExtremeTech and Slashdot also covered the story.

A May 15 Nanowerk story highlighted work led by the Lab’s Douglas Clark and Harvey Blanch in improving the ability of enzymes to perform biofuels processes at higher heat temperatures.
