Berkeley Lab “In the News” is our weekly review of Lab researchers, staff, and students who have appeared in the news media this past week. This is but a sampling of our coverage. Please note that some links may expire after time. 

A March 1 New York Times story on the recent ARPA-E gathering included a reference to work at the lab as well as a video featuring the Lab’s Christer Jansson.

A March 1 CleanTechnica story featured work from the Molecular Foundry on breaking down barriers to bioelectronics.

A Feb. 28 San Jose Mercury News opinion piece on the creation of a new “battery university” was coauthored by the Lab’s Venkat Srinivasan. The Spartan Daily and SmartGrid News also covered the creation of “battery U” and quoted the Lab’s Doug Davenport.

A Feb. 28 post on the PBS Nova website about synthetic biology was written by the Lab’s Jay Keasling.

A Feb. 28 RedOrbit story highlighted work led by the Lab’s Eva Nogales offering new insights into DNA to RNA transcription.

A Feb. 28 GreenTech Media story looked at work by the Lab to make the New York Times building energy efficient.

A Feb. 27 Forbes story on California’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 cited a report led by the Lab’s Jeff Greenblatt.
