Berkeley Lab In the News, Week of October 14, 2012


Berkeley Lab “In the News” is our weekly review of Lab researchers, staff, and students who have appeared in the news media this past week. This is but a sampling of our coverage. Please note that some links may expire after time.

An Oct. 19 Wall Street Journal story featured research on indoor C02 levels, work coauthored by the Lab’s William Fisk and Mark Mendell. Their work was also covered by Science News, The Daily Mail, R&D Magazine, ANI News service and many more.

An Oct. 17 San Francisco Weekly story featured the Lab’s cool pavement research.

Last week’s Open House received coverage by Cal TV as did the unveiling of Perlmutter Road, named for the Lab’s most recent Nobel Prize winner. The San Francisco Business Journal and KCBS-AM radio also covered the events.

A recent CNN Money story on ways to cut your energy bill mentioned the Lab’s Jim Lutz.

The latest issue of symmetry includes a story on David Nygren’s Time Projection Chamber.
