Storm Clouds That Threatened Arizona’s Solar Industry Pass

A tempest in Arizona over proposed legislation that some feared could set back the state's growing solar industry has quietly ended. A 2009 study by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory found that in Arizona, the installed cost of solar electricity in 2008 for systems under 10 kilowatts of peak rated capacity was the lowest in the United States, averaging $7.40 per watt.
